STEM Academic Team Competition Results

We kicked off the week of December 16 with two vital Academic Team wins against Bishop Shanahan and Coatesville at home. The start of the match was delayed due to the CCIU team pictures. The delay did not faze the varsity squad who jumped to an early lead, effectively closing the door after the first round. The varsity had 5 different scorers but were buoyed by a career high performance from Ameya Bhalerao who contributed 50 pts and several assists in the fanfare rounds. While varsity seemed unaffected by the wait, JV was a different story. After a sluggish start the JV found themselves down by 2 questions after round 1. The cheering section seemed to rouse them midway through round 2, reclaiming the lead through contributions from all 4 players and an especially hot round from Eva Metz. The third round saw more of the same with key contributions from team captains Ojas Wani and Cole Swavely. Special shout out to Dhivansh Kochhar for his own season high 30 points. The team won out STEM 145, Bishop 125 and Coatesville 35.
