STEM Academy Academic Team: CCIU Breakfast of Champions

On Thursday, May 18, members of the Academic Team attended the CCIU Breakfast of Champions Ceremony. The team walked away with many awards, including the coveted Competitor of the Year and Coach of the Year award. All the plaudits go to Kristen Pugliese-Kash for her win as coach of the year. Though she was not able to attend, her presence was felt. Kristen was deservedly toasted by the CCIU for her continued hard work, encouragement of students and pure love of the game. She is the heart and soul of this franchise.

Additionally, Yaduraj Choudhary was recognized as the Competitor of the Year. I’ve run out of superlatives to describe Yaduraj. He seems to be a permanent fixture in the STEM community. He has engaged in so many activities it is difficult to comprehend where he finds the energy for all of them. He has led the Academic Team in its most successful season to date, performing well throughout. Yaduraj will be missed next year but he has set this team up to be successful for many years to come.
