STEM Academy BSU Members attend the Chester County Law Enforcement Symposium

STEM BSU Members Attend Chester County Law Enforcement Symposium

On Tuesday, October 21, 2025, several members of our STEM Academy Black Student Union (BSU), under the advisement of Ms. Sara Brosious, club advisor, participated in the Chester County Law Enforcement Symposium, along with other high school students from across the county.

Our students met with members of law enforcement, learned about the justice system and explored the relationship between teens and law enforcement. Kaylee Costello said of the expeierence; “My favorite part of today's experience was engaging in a respectful, formal, and comfortable discussion with law enforcement and high school students from other schools. I found hearing perspectives and experiences from many individuals beneficial as it gave me more of an open mindset. Lastly, I truly appreciated the welcoming environment of those who instructed the symposium and I am very grateful for this experience as I now have a new perspective of individuals in law enforcement.”

We are so proud of our BSU students for representing STEM at this meaningful event!
