Congratulations to our STEM Academy student participants who competed against approximately 1,500 fellow students at the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science (PJAS) State Fair from May 14th – 16th at The Pennsylvania State University. This was the final competition for our students in the STEM Academy Research Club this year.
- 10th grader Ishaan Baheti won a 2nd place award in Engineering.
- 11th grader Prithvi Vijay won a 1st place award in Mathematics.
- Saptak Das took home a number of awards: 1st place award in Mathematics, a ‘Perfect Score’ in Mathematics, a $2,000 yearly Scholarship to the College of Engineering, a $2,000 yearly Scholarship to the Eberly College of Science, and the PJAS Excellence Award in Mathematics (the top possible award for any project, and top award for all mathematics projects across all high school projects at the fair) that included a plaque and $100 prize.
It is with both joy and sadness that our successful first year of research ends. Looking forward to next year!
