STEM DECA: International Career Development Conference (ICDC) Results

This year STEM DECA had over 200 members, and this week 60 members (30% of our chapter) went to DECA’s International Career Development Conference. Within DECA, only 10% of members qualify for the event. STEM DECA always beats this average, which speaks to the quality of our program and the commitment we make as a school to our students.
Of the 25,000 student competitors at the ICDC competition, 10% move on as finalists. We had 11 finalists (17% of our chapter). Again, we consistently out-perform the average DECA chapters. From these 11 finalists, we won top ten in five events, including first place in the world in Finance Operations.
Our DECA success is not due to the hard work alone of just one or a few students, but the overall effort from all students involved. While we highlight the following for their hard work, I am very proud of all our chapter’s hard work and success this year. Congratulations to the following students.
